Merchant FAQ

The questions merchants actually ask before they trust a gateway: onboarding, payouts, chargebacks, risk, routing, checkout, and support.

Do you require merchant KYC?
No. We do not require merchant KYC on our side to create an account and start integrating. You can onboard fast and stay in control of your own compliance process.
Is crypto replacing credit cards?
No. Crypto is a second payment option. Credit cards and all fiat methods remain exactly as they are. Merchants can offer both.
Is crypto checkout included in all plans?
Yes. Crypto checkout with all supported coins is available in Free, Pro, and Unlimited. (Coin availability depends on the enabled crypto provider and network conditions.)
Do you hold my funds?
We don’t run a “platform balance” where your money sits inside a wallet on our site. Payments are routed for payout through the selected payment route. This is designed to reduce “holding surprises”.
Payout speed depends on the route, your configuration, and network conditions.
How fast can I go live?
Most merchants can go live the same day: create account → add domain → generate API key → set webhook URL → test → switch to production. If you use WooCommerce, setup is typically even faster.
What exactly do I get in the dashboard?
You can manage domains/shops, generate API keys, configure webhooks, create payment links, create products with landing pages, and view payment sessions + logs for troubleshooting.
What are “Products + Landing Pages”?
It’s a built-in feature that lets you create a product inside your merchant dashboard and automatically generate a landing page for it. Customers can pay via your hosted checkout — perfect for ads, funnels, single offers, or selling without a full shop.
Do you support my platform (WooCommerce / custom code)?
Yes. We support WooCommerce with a plugin, and we support custom stacks via API + webhooks. If you can send server-side requests, you can integrate.
How do webhooks work and why should I care?
Webhooks notify your server in real time when a payment changes state (paid/failed/expired/pending). This keeps your order status synced automatically, improves customer support, and reduces “did my customer pay?” confusion.
Can I prevent fraud or random domains using my API key?
Yes. Domain allowlisting ensures your integration only works from approved shop domains. We also use rate limits and WAF rules to reduce abuse patterns.
What is Smart Routing?
Smart Routing selects the best available payment route for approvals and stability (based on availability and configuration). It can reduce declined transactions and improve conversion — especially in higher-risk categories.
Smart Routing availability depends on your plan and enabled routes.
Will my customers be forced into KYC?
We don’t require customer KYC as a default rule inside our platform. However, some payment routes (especially certain crypto on-ramps or specific banks) can require verification based on their own rules, country regulations, risk signals, or transaction behavior. We aim to route in a way that keeps checkout friction low whenever possible.
Chargebacks: what should I expect?
With EcomTrade24 Pay you don’t deal with the classic card-processor chargeback headache on our platform. Our checkout is built to avoid the typical “funds held + chargeback drama” model merchants fear.
Your best practice is still simple: deliver what you promise, keep clear policies, and support customers fast — this keeps disputes low and approvals high.
Do you have hidden fees?
No. Our fees are transparent and shown on the pricing page. There are no surprise platform charges.

Exact fee tier rules are listed on the pricing page. If you need a special routing setup, we’ll tell you upfront what changes.
Is this subscription-based?
Free is not subscription-based. New Pro and Unlimited plans are billed monthly, with a 3-day grace period before auto-downgrade if unpaid. Existing legacy paid merchants keep their current status without forced rebilling.
How do upgrades work?
You can upgrade inside your merchant dashboard. After payment confirmation, your plan is unlocked. Your account and settings remain intact — you just get higher limits and additional features.
What are the plan limits (shops/products)?
Free: 1 shop / domain and up to 3 products with landing pages.
Pro: Up to 5 shops and up to 25 products with landing pages. Plus Smart Routing
Unlimited: Unlimited shops and unlimited products with landing pages. Plus Smart Routing
What industries do you support?
We are built for high-risk online businesses where traditional providers often reject merchants. We still maintain an Acceptable Use Policy to protect the network and long-term stability. If you’re unsure, contact support with your product category before scaling.
What happens if a provider route is temporarily down?
If a route is unavailable, our system can fall back to another available route (where enabled), or show alternate payment options (like crypto) to avoid losing the sale.
Do you help with integration if I’m not technical?
Yes. We can guide you through setup and testing. If you use WooCommerce, we’ll help you connect it correctly and verify webhooks.

Shopper FAQ

Shoppers usually just want reassurance: security, privacy, and a smooth checkout.

Which payment methods can I use?
Payment methods depend on the merchant setup and your location. Most checkouts support cards and popular wallet options. Some merchants also enable crypto as a second payment option.
Is my payment secure?
Yes. Checkout uses modern security practices, domain protection, and merchant-specific configuration. Always verify you’re on the correct merchant site and checkout page before paying.
Do I need an account to pay?
In most cases, no. You can complete checkout as a guest.
Why do I see different payment options?
Payment options can vary by country, currency, transaction size, and route availability. Some merchants also enable crypto as a second option to ensure you can still pay if a route is temporarily unavailable.
Will I be asked for verification?
Usually not. But some banks, card issuers, or specific crypto providers may request extra verification depending on their own risk and compliance rules.

Still unsure?

If you’re a merchant and you want a quick “is this a fit for my business?” answer, we’ll give you a straight response and the best setup path.

Tip: A clear refund policy and fast support increase approvals and reduce disputes.
